3/28 Lenten Rose Planter Workshop

Celebrate early spring’s most sophisticated bloom at our Hello Hellebores Weekend with a hands-on planter workshop featuring the timeless beauty of Lenten Roses.

In this class, each guest will select their own hellebore — choose from both single and double varieties — and design a cold-hardy mixed planter using pansies, companion perennials, and other early-season favorites. These aren’t your typical spring flowers. Hellebores bloom when little else dares, offering nodding blossoms in soft, moody shades that thrive in cool weather. For this class, you can bring your own planters from home or purchase one here. We suggest a pot 12" in diameter or more to allow room for the hellebore to grow. The $19.99 workshop fee includes your soil and instruction. Plants and pots are additional. 

We’ll cover everything you need to confidently grow hellebores, including:

• Where they thrive in the garden
• How they perform in containers vs. flower beds
• Why they’re deer resistant
• Seasonal care and long-term maintenance
• How to transition your planter into the landscape later

Cancellation Policy: Workshop cancellations must be given to Graf’s Garden Shop at least 24 hours prior to the workshop. If not, your workshop fees will be forfeited.
